If you want to build muscle, you need to be eating more calories than you’re burning. There’s no way around it.

Weight = Calories In vs. Calories Out

But this is easier said than done. That’s because your body fights your eating efforts to keep itself within a preferred comfort zone, or weight range.

Hunger soon becomes non-existent, and it becomes increasingly difficult to achieve the daily calorie surplus necessary to build muscle.

The Result: You don’t eat enough calories to support your hard training efforts, and ultimately are left spinning your wheels at the same weight for the months…or years…to come.

How can you overcome this?

There are numerous nutrition strategies you can employ to help fight the lack of hunger and ensure you’re eating enough to pack on pounds of muscle.

In the past couple of years, I’ve worked with over 500 hundred people 1:1 and helped them build hundreds of pounds of muscle. Some of these individuals included collegiate, professional, and Olympic athletes whose future literally depended on whether they could get bigger and stronger.
